Kone Foundation’s annual grant call

Funding organisation website

Kone Foundation awards grants for research and the arts. The Foundation supports academic research in humanities, social sciences and environmental sciences, as well as artistic research. We fund artistic work in all fields of art, and multidisciplinary projects between art and research.

The funding decisions are guided by the central values defined in Kone Foundation’s strategy: academic and artistic freedom and the intrinsic value of research and art, plurality of voices, boldness, long term, crossing national and disciplinary borders, and environmental sustainability.

In addition to the general grant call, the Foundation will also organise a thematic grant call. This year, the theme comes from our new funding programme ‘Is Democracy Eroding?’.

The application call for residencies at Lauttasaari Manor Residence will also be open for Finnish art and research organisations who wish to invite an expert from abroad to work with them in Finland.
